Amy Stokes had the idea to start INFINITE FAMILY the third day after she and her husband arrived in South Africa to adopt their son from an orphanage near Johannesburg in March 2003. The devastation of HIV/AIDS was leaving thousands of children without parents. After sharing a concept paper with colleagues in the United States and South Africa, she met Dana Gold, an earlier adoptive mother of a son from the same orphanage in South Africa, and Micael Holmstrom a technology specialist who lived in Amy's NYC neighborhood. passion for using technology to create a new way for adults around the world to nurture and support Africa's children led them through an uncharted R&D phase of testing and refinement from 2006 to 2008. In 2009, they launched the proprietary Ezomndeni Net platform and started building the team, which now includes 400+ volunteers and INFINTIE FAMILY's Board of Directors, Chaired by Katy Keck (University of Phoenix Volunteer Leader Award and Daily Point of Light Honoree, 2010). Together they bring skills and a new global perspective to teens and pre-teens half a world away.    Read the full account>>
