Full House! Bet on It!

Busy is Good!

South African schools are again welcoming ALL of their students every day and so are Infinite Family’s LaunchPads. You can be sure we are glad to see so many of our Net Buddies every day after school! Back to researching homework topics and writing papers, back to blogging and sending emails, back to completing their commitments for our monthly performance reports. They do admit it’s been a little hard to get back to the full schedule and they are really tired at the end of each day…but it’s also sooooooo much better than lockdown! We agree!

Candidly Proud

Candid, fka GuideStar, pushes non-profits to the farthest reach of transparency by evaluating many different operational and performance criteria in its vetting process. Just like advancing in school, each year it gets tougher to make the grade.

  • Audited financials – check.
  • Board and staff diversity – check.
  • Quantitative annual impact measurements – check.

The entire Infinite Family team is involved in preparing our monthly, quarterly and annual reports for our directors, financial sponsors, corporate and foundation partners, and industry monitors, like Candid. We are proud to again earn their highest level Platinum rating. And we are happy to share any of our performance statistics at any time. For more information, please click here to contact the team.

No Technology. No Future.

In South Africa, the official unemployment rate has just topped a horrifying 35%.  (Yes, 1 in every 3 adults is jobless!)  Which means there is ZERO future for our Net Buddies unless they have access to technology.  While our LaunchPads don’t need state-of-the-art laptops, they do need to be reliable so our teens can stay connected with their Video Mentors .. . and the world.

Almost a decade ago (before webcams were standard), we were donated 70 computers.  We’ve worked really hard to keep them updated and in good working condition. (Thank you Mpho!)  But they’re stuttering to the end of their useful life and we need to replace them.  Pronto.

Our objective for 2022 is to replace ALL our laptops – that’s 70 for our Net Buddies and another 15 for our NGO partners.  We know it’s ambitious, so we’re going to do it the African way and eat this elephant one bite at a time!

Starting next week, Infinite Family will join GlobalGiving’s Little x Little matching campaign with the goal of raising enough funds to buy the first 10 laptops.  With GlobalGiving’s match, we just need 80 people to donate $50 (R750).

If you can help, please click on this link Or, if you know of a friend, family member or organization that might be interested, please share it with them.

Thank you! With unemployment so rife, competition for jobs is fierce, and technology is the only portal to an independent future for our Net Buddies. With your generosity, we won’t let them down.

Net Buddies and Video Mentors are the heart of our Infinite Family

Thank you for being our Infinite Family
