Your Gifts Keep Net Buddies' Studies Strong

There are many ways to show someone they matter. A smile, a fist bump, or a hug - each conveys feelings that don’t need words. Sharing a load or clearing a path, going to any level of effort for someone else clearly lets them know they are important. Or, you could wrap someone in soft warmth and safety - like YOU did!

Infinite Family’s Net Buddies were very surprised, but quickly all smiles, when they received the hooded sweaters you sent them to stay warm this South African winter. In no time at all, each site was filled with chatter and appreciation both for the thick, warm fleece and the affirming message, “Resilient, Resourceful & Responsible for my future!Your generosity keeps all of our African teens fully focused on their studies and preparing to succeed on their end-of-year exams.

There are many official ways to say “Thank You” in South Africa. Our teens send them all to you!

Mmm & Mmm Good

Mint, brownie, crunchie cookie, carmel, almond, peanut butter… What do all of these have in common - besides making us all want to grab a handful to snack, right this minute? They are all new, and very hard to find, M&M flavors. They also are what Founder, Amy Stokes, wanted to bring our Net Buddies on her first South African visit since Covid cancelled her March 2020 trip. After failing to find stock at M&M headquarters or several distribution companies, the incredible Candy Team at M&M Times Square came through. They monitored deliveries for a week and carefully put the specialty flavors aside. Two red-eye flights later, these unique treats landed in Johannesburg to be shared with our Net Buddies and their parents and guardians in Alexandra, Khayelitsha and Soweto Townships.

Special thanks to Zeeman, Tonisha and the whole Candy Team, you brought smiles to sooooooooo many African teens and made their families feel super special!

One Happy Step Closer to Normalcy

Welcome back Rutgers GSE team! Every South African winter since 2011 - except 2020 and 2021 - our Net Buddies have looked forward to a visit by a talented team, led by Dr. Darren Clarke, from Rutgers Graduate School of Education. Each year, the visiting team shares challenges and lessons in a way that leaves great memories and solid skills with Infinite Family's Net Buddies and staff. This year, the skill-building day was celebrated with extra pent-up joy. We are so grateful to see and work with you all again! Thank you for bringing us one step closer to “normalcy" in such an invigorating way. Our Net Buddies are already counting the days until next year visit!
