Dear Infinite Family,

I am a parent to a beneficiary of Infinite Family.

I see positive changes in my child because he is now able to use a computer and he is now able to do his schoolwork independently. Initially, he struggled with his studies but I can see a difference now and I would like to thank Infinite Family. The program is very helpful to our children.

Vital Support at Exam Time

Our Net Buddies give their all throughout the year and now it’s crunch time. They’ve come to the end of the academic year (which runs from January to December in South Africa) and are deep into exam season.  So, with the weight of their own hopes for the future on their shoulders - and well as those of their families - it can be a particularly stressful time.  

During their weekly Video Conversations (VCs), our Mentors let them know they’re supported - no matter what. And we’ve put together a presentation full of useful information to share with the teens.  It covers healthy study habits, basic revision methods, exam day tips and, most importantly, ways for them to manage their mental wellbeing.  Click here to see what they are learning to give them an early lift. 

Giving Season with a Twist

Can you believe it’s THAT time of year already?  For us, the holiday season always starts with Giving Tuesday.  It takes place on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (Nov. 28 this year). For non-profits everywhere, it is one of the loveliest days on the calendar because, it’s when people are encouraged to give back, after Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping sprees, by supporting non-profits with generous actions or donations. All forms of support are welcome – from cash donations to other acts of kindness – and at Infinite Family we are grateful for all of them.  

This year, our goal for Giving Tuesday is a little bit different – we need your help to capture your commitment to South Africa’s teens in a way that corporations and foundations can see the strength and stability of our worldwide base of individual donors. Knowing that our worldwide community plans to continue supporting South Africa’s teens makes it easier for large funding insitutions to make the significant growth grants that Infinite Family needs to reach more South African teens in more places, at more times and with more information, tools and services. By confiming what we hope you are already planning to do, we can leverage your planned support going forward to assure new corporations and foundations that their growth investments will serve teens for years to come.

So, this Giving Tuesday we are asking you to give us your intention to stay involved with Infinite Family by completing our short Leverage Sponsor Form. 

Of course, if you are planning to make a financial gift on Giving Tuesday, we’d be thrilled for you to leverage your generosity that day also by helping us win a larger share of GlobalGiving’s special GivingTuesday $1.2 million Incentive Fund! This fund is a 24-hour competition – the more our community donates on GivingTuesday through GlobalGiving, the bigger the slice of the $1.2 million pie that will be served to Infinite Family.
