2023 At a Glance

Happy New Year, everyone!  We’re anticipating another year full of new ideas, new opportunities, and, of course, a few challenges, and are very happy to have you along for the ride with us. Before we rush headlong into what lies ahead, let’s take a moment to look back at what your support for South Africa's teens achieved in 2023.  

While we’re so disbursed around the planet, it can be hard to get a sense of what our efforts accomplish. Putting some numbers to the work we do always helps to make things more tangible … and serves as an important reminder that every single input we ALL make contributes to a meaningful difference in the lives of our Net Buddies.  

Mentoring Matters

If you’ve been part of Infinite Family for a while, and especially if you are one of our mentors, you know just how much it matters for a teen to have one-on-one weekly interaction with an adult who cares about them and their future.  The relationships forged between Mentors and Net Buddies can be life-changing for both of them and we had a touching demonstration of that in December, at the graduation celebration held at Realogile School in Alexandra for two fine young women, Lesedi and Jennifer.  

Lesedi’s mentor, Angela, joined us online and spoke movingly about the journey they’ve taken with Infinite Family over the past three years – which they plan to continue as Lesedi starts her new chapter and pursues further studies.

New Year, New SA Office

For the past decade, Infinite Family’s South African office has been happily based in the Johannesburg suburb of Hyde Park, courtesy of our wonderful landlord Luis Leal of Scarab IT Solutions and Pulse Contact Solutions. When he decided to move out of the ‘landlord’ business and move his own businesses closer to downtown Joburg, he generously invited us to join him. Then he made it so easy for us, we couldn’t’ refuse!  So, if you’re ever passing through South Africa, you’ll now find us at Rosebank Quarter, 158 Jan Smuts, Suites 25 and 26.  Come and say ‘Hi’, we’d love to meet you in person!
