The world has come to the end of another long and often fraught year and, for our Net Buddies, it’s a time for them to breathe out and relax after a job well done. We wish the same for you and yours.
We never underestimate what it takes for the teens in our Infinite Family program to show up and stay focused in a society with so many broken institutional systems. For them the sad reality is that - 30 years after the end of apartheid - they still face intense challenges in school and in their communities that set them up to fail.
YOU are the global chorus, sharing your stories and resources, that allows them to find the strength to continue building a better future. Weekly interaction with their online mentors is key to helping them develop the confidence to push through and achieve the short and long-term goals they set themselves. As their school and college years end, we’re loving seeing how it’s become the norm for our teens to keep their foot on the gas through the end of the academic year in December, enjoy the results of their hard work, and then get right back to it and do it all over again in 2025!
We’re endlessly proud of the resilience, responsibility, and resourcefulness with which our teens are learning to walk through the world. And it’s all because you are sharing their journey, steadfast and consistent in your support. You are the role models they so genuinely need to stay on track.
