Human Rights for All, Right?
For all the historical injustices of South Africa’s apartheid past, one of the things it’s democratic Constitution has got absolutely right is its Bill of Rights, which legally entrenches the basic human rights of every human being.
Marked every year on 21 March, to commemorate the shooting of 69 people at a protest in Sharpeville, Human Rights Day is a reminder of every South African’s right to Equality, Privacy, Human Dignity, Freedom of Expression and Religious Freedom. And, in a year when these basic protections are denied to so many, the day is set to be more poignant than ever.
Through your donations of time and money, you help our Infinite Family to support human rights every day. Your daily investments in our teens are unleashing a new generation of South Africans to help solve the problems that face them and work towards creating a more just world. |
