Global Mentorship

Celebrate International Mentoring Day with Infinite Family

Today, January 17th, marks International Mentoring Day—a global celebration honoring Muhammad Ali’s birthday and his legacy as a mentor to millions worldwide.

At Infinite Family, we know that mentoring transforms lives. Since 2008, 95% of our video-mentored Matric (12th grade) students have qualified for advanced education, most becoming the first in their families to attend college or university. This achievement is 23% higher than South Africa’s national rate!

The Power of 30 Minutes

Our Video Mentors connect with South African teens for just 30 minutes each week via video calls. In that brief time, they share their experience, offer guidance, and help develop critical skills in:

  • Education and academic success
  • Career preparation and planning
  • Technology literacy
  • Life skills and resilience
  • Communication within home, school and work environments

Our teens grow up facing significant challenges—many in child-headed households with inadequate resources. But when they connect with a caring adult who believes in them, something remarkable happens. They begin to see new possibilities. They work harder. They exceed their own expectations.

Your professional experience and life wisdom can create opportunities that weren’t available to previous generations. Join our global network of mentors from 25 countries who are helping South African teens build better futures.
