Mphanda joined Infinite Family in February and is almost done with his 90-day “proving period”, which is the time for him to show how ready and committed he is. He lives with his mom, little sister, and brother and says he wants to be a police officer when he grows up.
Since joining Infinite Family, Mphanda says that he feels good because he is already noticing positive changes within himself. He shares that he has become more respectful to his teachers at school and is truly enjoying his time with Madalyn.
She has been teaching him how to play her favourite childhood game, as well as important life lessons, such as how to be respectful and to never trust fake friends. It is heartwarming to see how quickly Mphanda has embraced these lessons and made them his own.
The bond between him and Madalyn is already a beautiful one, and their weekly sessions mean a great deal to him. When asked what he would like to say to his mentor, Mphanda said, “I would like to say thank you for what you do for me and for loving me.” Those sweet and sincere words say it all.
