National Sons Day

National Sons Day is celebrated on March 4th and September 28th. Yesterday, we paused to celebrate something very special, the father-son-like bonds that form in Our Infinite Family, one weekly conversation at a time.

Every week, our young men show up to meet with their mentors. They come with questions about school, about careers, and about life. They share their stories, their challenges, and their hopes. And week by week, they grow.

Many of our young men never had a positive male role model growing up. Yet they refuse to let where they come from define their futures. Every session they attend is a choice to invest in themselves and in the lives, they are working to build.

On the other side of the screen are our male Video Mentors. They give their time, often across oceans and time zones, to become the steady, encouraging presence every son deserves: someone who listens, believes in them, and cheers them on.

Over weeks and months, something remarkable happens. These relationships become something deeper than mentorship. They become family.

Mentoring is often described as giving back, but our mentors will tell you that the relationship gives to them, too. As Doug, one of our mentors, put it:

“I think I have learnt more from him than he has.” Our teens and mentors learn from each other, grow together, and build a connection that neither could have built alone.

To our Net Buddies: thank you for your courage and your consistency. Every question you ask and every story you share moves you closer to the future you are building. We are so proud of you.

To our mentors: thank you for showing up, week after week, and for being the father figures our young men needed.

Invest in Teens Who Invest in Themselves

Our teens are doing the hard work of shaping their futures. With your support, they don’t have to do it alone.
