๐งกย Inganam’s Story: How Mentorship Creates Legacy
Fifteen-year-old Inganam* lives in Johannesburg’s Alexandra Township with her mother and younger siblings. Passionate about English, Mathematics, and Science, she joined Infinite Family ahead of tenth grade โ the start of the senior phase of high school in South Africa โ seeking a safe space to do homework, access study support, and have someone to turn to when challenges arose.
From the moment she walked into our LaunchPad at Realogile High School, Inganam felt a warm welcome. She quickly discovered that Infinite Family connects its members with dedicated Video Mentors โ and in March last year, she was matched with Claudia, a South African mentor she describes as “a kind and caring person and someone she genuinely loves and trusts.”
The freedom to talk openly about anything has made their weekly video calls something Inganam shows up for devotedly โ every single week. ๐
Now, in a beautiful full-circle moment, the impact of that relationship has moved Inganam to encourage her younger sister to join Infinite Family too. She wants her little sister to experience the same support, guidance, and sense of belonging that has meant so much to her.
That’s the ripple effect of mentorship. And it starts with you.
