Hi
This lock down is really affecting our lives so badly because I am missing school very much including my friends, teachers and classmates who always make my day when I see them or just sit and talk to them.I am missing school as I am sitting and being bored and having nothing to do but I know that as time goes on the virus will fade and we will stand together as a nation and fight off any virus that comes our way.We have survived every virus so let us stand together and be calm and and eating healthy.People of South Africa remember to keep clean and wash hands with warm water and soap we do not want corona virus and remember to cover when you sneeze or cough.Help stop the spread of any virus by keeping clean and always wash your hands or body.

Hi Katlego,

Your friends, classmates and teachers probably miss you too.
It is good that you understand the reasons why we need to put with the lockdown and what we need to do to stop the spreading of the virus.

We are all hopeful that this phase will pass and it will be safe in the end for you to go to back school. In the meantime, you can use the computers to get information and educational activities online.

Stay safe!

Great Question Johannes! We pulled together a chart to help you know the differences on the Information page.

Another great question, quarantine does not help a person stop being sick once they have Covid 19. But it does stop the spread of the disease to others, especially those who already have compromised immune systems. As noted on our Information page, 4 out of 5 people who catch Covid 19 will run the course of their illness with symptoms that can be managed at home, similar to the seasonal flu.

Also, if you think you have been exposed to Covid 19 – it can take up to 14 days to experience symptoms and know that you have been infected. So, stay committed to washing your hands often and keeping them away from your face. And do your best to maintain social distancing and coughing into your elbow instead of your hands.
