You Made Our ‘Amp Up Alex’ Dreams Come True

On July 14, one day before World Youth Skills Day, you, our incredible Infinite Family, showed us how committed you are to South African teens and their work to build skills and better futures. Even while times are terribly tough, a small group of dedicated donors stepped up to take advantage of GlobalGivings’ one-day bonus matching campaign. These “leave no stone unturned” friends of the family circled the date on their calendars and set their alarms to make significant donations starting at 9:00am and finishing just before the midnight deadline. Their focused efforts were multiplied by GlobalGiving and — in just one day — you raised more than $14,000! Out of 322 projects, Infinite Family ranked in the top 4% for funds raised and we can now finish the longtime dream of bringing a double-decker LaunchPad to expand our Alexandra operations.

As a result of your generosity, teens in Alexandra Township will soon have 22 additional laptops, access to the Internet, and a special place to study and connect with their Video Mentors so they can build the skills that will lead them to school and life success. See how here. We thank you!
